"This season displays an umbrella of accord that weaves earthy neutrals with a range of bold color statements and patterns to reflect a landscape of hope, fun, fantasy and all things natural." Pantone

Since I've been working on my course, I've come across interesting (and very important) aspects of fashion styling that I knew existed but never really paid much attention to.  One of them being 'colour analysis'.  We all know what a fashion trend is and could even list a few for this season but, did you know? 'Colour Anaylis and Prediction' is one of the main areas which sets the scene for fashion trends.  I found this particularly interesting and thought it was useful to share it with you.

Above are the top 10 colours for men's and women's fashion for autumn/winter 2015.  Designers this season have looked in depth into using tailored styling and fabrics to achieve masculinity and femininity; as for the first time, colour combinations can be shared across both men's and women's fashion.  The inspiration for this palette has been drawn from the seductive '20s to the bohemian '60s and '70s with easy to wear colours for both genders.

If there's one colour that has to be worn this season, it's 'Marsala'; an earthy wine red.  It was chosen as color of the year by the industry leader 'Pantone' and was seen all over the catwalks at Robert Geller, Burberry Prorsum, Ryan Lo and Longchamp.

Below are a few examples of this seasons colour trends in use.
